About

Anthropomorphism is a recurring theme in Veda’s work. In some of her works she uses animals to represent humans, isolating the key messages and illustrating the underlying themes.
Veda was educated abroad but embraces her Asian roots and communicates this dichotomy of West vs East in the (not so) oriental references. Her choice of materials also reflects her heritage, often choosing to sew on paper to combine various textures and patterns within a single piece, making the thread an indispensable part of her compositions.
Her works draw from personal experiences and convey an eclectic mix of modern themes, such as technology addiction and complex human relationships.
